Welcome!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and is getting ready and excited for fourth grade! We are going to have lots of fun while we learn about new and challenging things.

We will start our year off in math with learning about place value and how to work with numbers into the millions! In ELA we are going to start learning how to think deeper about what we are reading.  One of the first ways we will do this is learning about story structure and summarizing a short story. Longer chapter books in fourth grade will take you a little more time to read, however, I have no doubt that if you work hard you will easily pass the required 18 AR books for the school year!

Some of my favorite things to do over summer vacation is going camping up north, going out on the boat, and hiking with my chocolate lab, Charlie! I look forward to seeing you all in September and learning about your favorite summer activities.
